Emergency Cat Duty: Simi, Akira and the Mystery in the Wall

Well, I’m completely exhausted because of an emergency cat duty.

We figured out that Akira went in there on Wednesday, and Ruth didn’t find him until much, much later. So that became the big mystery: where had he gone?

I’m trying to write my first article, so I’ll just go through it in order.

Simi and the stairs

The most dangerous part, especially for Simi, is the stairs.

Simi is completely blind, and the problem is that there are quite a few places around here where you really have to watch them.

Akira, meanwhile, is hunting. He’s looking for insects and other small things. So if you forget to keep an eye on one of them, something can happen.

This is Simi, the blind one.

With a blind cat, you basically have to teach her the surroundings almost like you would teach a blind person. Once she knows where she is, she can manage. But you have to be particularly careful when there is something that changes suddenly.

And this is where it gets dangerous.

The blind cat went up there, not actually onto the stairs, but to the area beside them, and she nearly fell about two metres.

That was quite dangerous.

They are actually very cautious, though. They get scared, and they listen to your voice. Simi seems to be able to distinguish a little bit between whether something is dark or bright.

But otherwise, she barely sees.

Her eyesight problem is most likely related to her genetics. Since the cats are related, inbreeding could potentially be involved, although I don’t know that for certain.

The things they find outside

Of course, the cats aren’t the only interesting things around here.

There are also all the plants and animals.

This is the yew tree, the Eibe. Apparently, this is some of the best wood around here for longbows.

And then there are the berries.

They look like something you might be able to eat, but the yew is actually highly toxic. Parts of the plant were even used as arrow poison. So you definitely don’t want to experiment with it.

3. Ich versuche Ihnen mit chatGPT zu schildern, wie ich den betreffenden Teil der Geschichte gegenüber dem Beobachter darstellen möchte.
   Der Beobachter ist vor allem an der Frage interessiert, was damals im Zusammenhang mit der Familie Weidel und der behaupteten Bedrohungslage passiert ist. Ich möchte deshalb den Schwerpunkt etwas anders setzen als bei der Befragung und auch den Zusammenhang schildern, wie ich ihn damals erlebt habe.
   Meine Behauptung bzw. Vermutung ist, dass die Wachmeisterin bei der Evakuierung der Familie Weidel durch Luchs am 23. September 2023 dabei war bzw. entsprechend gebrieft wurde. Sie hat das bei den Einvernahmen auch ausgeplaudert… dass sie dabei bzw. darüber informiert war. Gleichzeitig zweifle ich daran, dass diese Evakuierung überhaupt so stattgefunden hat. Die Familie befand sich danach auf Mallorca. Jedenfalls war die behauptete Bedrohungslage im Zusammenhang mit einem wichtigen politischen Anlass in Deutschland danach nicht real.
   Wichtig ist dabei der zeitliche Zusammenhang: Bei meiner Einvernahme am 5. Oktober 2023 waren die späteren Medienberichte über diese Evakuierung noch nicht bekannt. Ich selbst wusste damals nichts von dieser Familie, ihrem politischen Hintergrund oder einer entsprechenden Bedrohungslage. Ich möchte dem Beobachter deshalb auch schildern, dass ich davon ausgehe, dass zumindest Personen aus dem Umfeld der AfD von den Vorgängen wussten, während ich selbst keine Kenntnis davon haben konnte.
   Ich werde dabei auch die Ereignisse vor der Anhaltung schildern. Dazu gehört die Auseinandersetzung mit den Personen, die mich nach meiner Darstellung abgedrängt und gefilmt haben. Ich hatte damals versucht, dies gegen Unbekannt zur Anzeige zu bringen. Ich gehe heute stark davon aus, dass es sich dabei um Personen aus dem AfD-Umfeld gehandelt haben könnte. Die Polizei hat zwar am 5. Oktober behauptet; dass Videoaufnahmen vorhanden seien von Plakatbeschädigungen; im Einvernahme Protokoll November kommt das aber nicht mehr vor.
   Die Plakatbeschädigung werde ich ebenfalls erwähnen, allerdings nicht als Hauptpunkt. Diese wäre wohl überhaupt nicht bekannt geworden, wenn ich nicht selbst Herrn Muff am Dienstag 26.9.2023 Viehausstellung davon erzählt hätte. Meine damalige Äusserung zum FDP-Plakat wurde anschliessend gegen mich verwendet. Die daraus entstandene Strafe (auch wenn fast 2000 CHF 10x mehr als üblich) ist für mich heute nicht das Entscheidende.
   Auch den Zusammenhang mit meinem Aufenthalt dort möchte ich dem Beobachter erklären: Ich war damals unter anderem dort, weil ich versucht hatte, eine regelmässige Psychotherapie bei Claudia Terne zu organisieren. Sie teilte mir dann mit, dass die geplante erste Behandlung im Oktober nicht stattfinden werde, weil sie wegen ihrer Tochter nach Deutschland zurückgehen bzw. auswandern werde. Ich war anschliessend unterwegs, um mich abzuregen. Das erklärt aus meiner Sicht den tatsächlichen Hintergrund meines Aufenthalts und nicht eine Verbindung zu der später bekannt gewordenen Bedrohungslage.
   Auch die Anhaltung durch die Wachmeisterin gehört für mich in diesen Zusammenhang. Sie hat gerufen: Halt; Kantonsppolizei! konnte sich mir gegenüber aber nicht ausweisen. Nachdem ich meinen Namen genannt hatte, liess sie mich trotzdem nicht weiterfahren. Ich erschrak darüber und stürzte, wobei ich mir eine Rippe prellte bzw. möglicherweise brach. Die Verletzung selbst ist für mich nicht der Hauptpunkt. Relevant ist sie vor allem im Zusammenhang mit meiner anschliessenden Bitte am 4. Oktober, die Einvernahme vom 5. Oktober aus gesundheitlichen Gründen zu verschieben: frische Rippenverletzung, die damit verbundenen Schlafprobleme sowie die damalige fast 10h Reise zur Nachbesprechung Pfäfers 3. Oktober.
   Mit Paul Schmidig hatte ich im Zusammenhang mit dem Verfahren zur FU vom 5. Oktober 2023 vereinbart, dass ich möglicgst keine weiteren Anzeigen gegen die Polizei machen werde. Da die Anzeigen gegen Beat Küchler und Kaspar Schnyder die Herr Muff schon anfangs 2023 hätte mit mir machen müssen; nun gemacht sind…
   Ich möchte Ihnen diese Darstellung vorab mitteilen… wenn die Polizei einzelne Punkte anders darstellt oder dazu andere Informationen hat, eine andere Darstellung haben möchte.

We also met another cat, the tiger cat.

Then there was the farmer in the morning, just bringing water for the cows.

And this is the famous fish — my real pet, although this time without the catch.

There was also the fish heron and, of course, the birds.

The crows

Then there are my crows.

They are very difficult to photograph properly. There are four crows that interact the most. Sometimes one is in the air and another one is not.

They seem to protect the entrance to the whole territory.

I guess it is actually quite similar to a cat and the size of its territory. They seem to know exactly which area belongs to them and what is happening around it.

The biggest mystery

But the biggest mystery was still Akira.

Last time, nobody was able to find him.

He had probably only been in there for about half an hour, but they searched for him for an hour.

And then we discovered where he had been hiding.

He had squeezed himself into one of the openings in the stone wall.

It is actually quite incredible how well a cat can disappear into a place like that. From a short distance, you would hardly notice the opening at all.

And that’s why we’re now thinking about whether we need some kind of system to keep track of them.

There is a leash from the neighbours that we can use.

I might also get something like a small tracker. But I don’t think we need GPS. They are too small, and GPS trackers are probably more than we need.

Something costing less than 20 Swiss francs might be enough.

The question is whether a simple Bluetooth or sound-based finder would work, especially if there isn’t a phone nearby.

Because we don’t actually need to know exactly where they are all the time.

We just need to be able to find them when they disappear.

And after Akira managed to hide inside that wall for an hour, that suddenly seems like a pretty useful thing to have.
